Vitra is a Swiss family company founded by Willi and Erika Fehlbaum in 1950. Inspired by the designs of Charles and Ray Eames, and George Nelson, they brought these pieces to Europe in 1957 and have since brought to life interiors, furniture, and accessories that are now considered modern classics. Vitra continues this legacy today, bringing together engineering excellence and the creative genius of international designers such as Isamu Noguchi, Hella Jongerius, Alexander Girard, Jean Prouvé, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Jasper Morrison, and Verner Panton, to name a few. Other integral elements to Vitra are the Vitra Campus and Vitra Design Museum, alongside workshops, publications, and archives. These give the company the opportunity to gain perspective and depth in all its activities.
