Prado | Sectional Sofa

Prado has first and foremost been designed based on the study of lifestyles and human nature. Prado consists of a vast bench seat that can be combined and adjusted as desired and onto which back cushions may be placed at will, so that one can sit or lie down as they wish. It offers complete freedom as these cushions, weighted and equipped with a non-slip system, do not need to be rested against or attached to any object for support. They could, therefore, be arranged on the floor for a few leisurely moments around a low table, while the seat (cushion) could double as an occasional bed simply with a flip of its seat cushion to expose a side covered with mattress ticking.

Padding

‍seat cushion in polyurethane foam quilting. Back cushion in injected foam moulded onto a metal insert, equipped with elastic webbing and with compartmented goose feather-filled comfort layer with quilting. Anti-slip system. Lumbar cushion filled with new goose feathers. Optional armrest cushion in polyurethane foam quilting. The reverse of the seat cushion is covered in mattress ticking: simply turn the cushion and use the optional 100% white cotton fitted sheet to create a comfortable sleep area.

Highly customisable from square, medium, and large settees, footstools or combined to create a sectional sofa. Can be order with arm cushion or bolsters. Customizable legs with 2 options finish: Epoxy Matt Black Lacquered or Chromed Steel. Upholstered in non-removable fabric, velvet, microfibres or leather covering.

About the designer

Christian Werner

Christian Werner was born in Berlin 1959. He studied industrial design in both Berlin and Hamburg. He founded his own product design and interior architecture agency in 1992, where he designs furniture for prominent international manufacturers. He has also undertaken various projects for exhibition stands, restaurants, PR agencies, shops, and franchises. He is able to boast such clients as: Carpet Concept, Clud Med, JAB-Anstoetz, Kabel New Media, Ligne Roset, Thonet, Tonon.
